After Central's opening day encounter with Elton Vale, Chis Tomkinson will take his side to Oakwood Farm to face Wilmslow Albion on Tuesday 16th August.

Chris Tomkinson’s side will travel to the Cheshire based outfit who play at Oakwood Farm in their first away fixture of the 2022/23 campaign.

The last time the two sides met, resulted in a 4-2 victory for Central as a hat-trick from Cory Knight accompanied by a goal from Josh Frith saw Central come away with all three points and secure promotion to the Premier Division.

That season saw Central gain promotion to the Premier Division whilst Wilmslow finished 10th just three points off the bottom of the table.

Despite an opening day victory last season for Wilmslow, they went on a seven game losing streak and a 15 winless run which lasted until they over came Altrincham Hale by 4-2 on January 22nd.

Tomkinson will no doubt understand that starting off your away campaign is as important as any other game so will be wanting his team to be on top form come Tuesday 16th.

"Going back to my former team on the opening away day will be a great occasion. If we want to do well this season we need to make sure that we are as hard to beat away from home just as much as we are at Seashells Trust." "Last season we were very impressive away from home but we know with moving up a Division that there will be no easy games. Despite how Wilmslow have got on last season we can't look into that too much as it's a new season so I'm expecting a tough challenge"
