After announcing that the ever-present Whiting had picked up his second Player of the Month award this season, Dan Dolling highlighted the importance of Whiting for the team.

From a penalty shootout hero to making a string of impressive saves across the month, defender Dan was in high praise of the shot-stopper and expressed how important having a reliable keeper is for the club to progress.

"Danny has defiantly stepped up this month and had some incredible games, making top saves to keep us in games. Big congratulations to Danny, defiantly thoroughly deserved."

"Winning Player of the Month once in a season is something to be celebrated, but for Danny to win it twice in three months is a testament to how well he has played."

Dolling highlighted that Whiting has a massive impact on the team both on and off the field;

"Danny is such an important part of the team both on and off the pitch. On the pitch, you already know what he's going to bring to the game, whether it be him being calm and composed to make a great save or a little bit emotional doing everything he can for the team to win"

"Off the pitch, still a massive influence by helping to get some of the lads to and from training and games is just a good vibe; Danny's always first on the tunes in the changing rooms, playing some horrific tune."

Across October, Whiting has made some imperative saves keeping Central in countless games, including a penalty shoot-out winning save against Heywood St James, and Dolling appreciates having reliable keeper Whiting in his team;

"As a centre back, I find it easy playing with Danny as he always communicates so not only me but the whole back line can understand what is happening throughout the game and I'm always gonna back Danny in every situation as I know he puts everything into Manchester Central"
