Manchester Central is pleased to announce Dura as the first of a swathe of new kit sponsors. The British design and manufacturing company is proud to have assisted the club's purchase of the brand-new strip that debuted against Govan and UoM earlier this month.
Manchester Central has announced Dura as the first of many new kit sponsors. The Dura brand encompasses two limited liability companies.
Dura Limited, located in Brackley Northamptonshire, focuses on the design and installation of individualised state-of-the-art garage and workshop furniture to suit both commercial and private spaces, whilst Plymouth-based Dura Manufacturing produces the steel cabinets.
The Red-Dot Design Award-winning business' work can be seen around the North of England, having kitted-out facilities such as Rolls-Royce's Derby Plant as well as the private garages of many a Cheshire-based footballer.
Dura, which was also recognised by the 2012 Queen's Award for Enterprise, has previously sponsored British sportsmen such as two-time Le Mans winner Darren Turner, IndyCar legend Dario Franchitti and two-time BTCC champion and Fifth Gear host Jason Plato. The company has also previously sponsored Team Brit, which provides motor-racing opportunities for drivers with disabilities.
Whilst this is the first foray into the world of football sponsorship, it is not the brand's first involvement with the sport itself. Dura's products can be seen in the homes of footballers and club owners alike, but some clubs have even opted to house their world-class ground working equipment in fully decked-out workshops.
Founder and Managing Director, Dominic Wishlade, was quoted saying "it is the business's 25th anniversary this year and I am very proud of everything that the team at Dura - both past and present - have achieved. We're proud to support Manchester Central, and grass-roots football in England."
Manchester Central is extremely grateful to Dura, who can be seen on the back of the club's shorts, for their generosity in supporting the club and Greater Manchester's grassroots football.
