The month of September has generally been a good one for Manchester Central in Division One of the Manchester Football League, and their two wins from three this month can be largely attributed to star forward Fuad Kasali.
Last season’s top goal scorer has been immense so far this season, already scoring nine goals in just seven games, six of them coming in September.
Kicking off the month with a crucial brace against Bolton United, Kasali began as he meant to go on, pulling his side back in front after going behind early.
He took both goals with extreme confidence, both on his supposed weaker foot, first shifting it left and rifling into the roof of the net. His second was similar, with a rebound falling to him in the box and he made no mistake.
A few weeks later, Kasali was back at it, this time netting four past Wilmslow Albion. It was a trademark performance and was a nightmare for the Wilmslow defence.
He scored four brilliantly taken goals, including a wonderful bicycle kick on a day where it seemed no other Central man could score. It epitomised his brilliance, and his importance to the team.
Despite having a rare day off the scoresheet at Elton Vale, Kasali will no doubt look to kick off October the same way he did in September, when Central welcome Avro Reserves in Round 2 of the FA Manchester Challenge Trophy.
