Manchester Central’s star man Fuad Kasali had no doubt a special season in the 2021/22 season in Division Two of the Manchester Football League, and his tremendous play has been recognised as the forward was selected for the All-Star Team in the National Youth Football League.

Notching an outstanding 31 goals in just 23 league appearances, Kasali was the main man for the East Manchester club, not only scoring goals seemingly at his will, but big ones too, with nobody forgetting his late promotion winner on the final day of the season.

A constant threat for any opposing defensive line, Kasali was a nightmare to deal with, combining a rare mixture of pace, skill and cutting edge that quite frankly proved too much for any team to handle.

It came as no surprise to see the Central forward be selected for the National Youth Football League All-Star team, a team including the best performing players from up and down the country.

It was surely a privilege and a proud moment for Fuad Kasali, who when asked said “yes. I’m playing with people who match my ability, which will help me improve. It was certainly a challenge I had to take on.”

The Manchester Central star added “they said it would be revealed on Instagram at 7pm. When the day arrived, I was excited when I saw my name because across the season, I gave it my all and the outcome was successful.”

Kasali spoke to us about the day that he had, stating “the day was long as I was in the car for hours, but finally when I arrived, the sun was shining, the stadium was beautiful, and I was ready to go.”

“It took place at QPR’s home, the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, and it made me even more ready and raring to go for this challenge because I want to improve, and I felt this opportunity would help up my game.”

“We played the Chippenham Town U23s side, and they were no pushover, they wanted to win as much as us, it upped their game which brought out the best in me, making me want to play and perform better.”

The forward further added to what his mentality was like heading into the game, adding “I went into the game looking to enjoy it but in turn totally focus in the moment. I had to prove myself that this is where I belonged and if I wanted to get to a higher level, it starts now.”

He also mentioned how his time so far with Central has helped his game improve, saying “playing in this game made me realise that Manchester Central has helped me in ways that has bettered my game, and I appreciate the club for the opportunity they have given me.”

Although Fuad Kasali had no information regarding the future of this All-Star team, he gave us what he expects to come, stating “whatever happens, happens. I am just glad to be playing football.”

This reaction comes to no surprise to us at Manchester Central, watching first-hand how Kasali has managed to blossom on the pitch, becoming an integral part of Chris Tomkinson’s side.

He added further on the All-Star team that “the potential this team has is wonderful, and if we can give it our all, I have the confidence that no team would stand a chance against us.”

Rounding off Fuad was coy about what the future holds, adding “I believe this opportunity with the All-Star team will open up a lot of further opportunities in my career, and ultimately I look forward for what is to come.”

It is no shock that Fuad Kasali received this opportunity, playing a crucial role in Manchester Central’s dramatic promotion to Division One of the Manchester Football League.

And there is sure to be more opportunities on the way for the dangerous forward, who can only get better as time goes on, and who knows where Central’s top scorer can go next.
