Manchester Central are looking to give back to the staff and students at Seashell Trust Academy, gifting individualised Christmas presents which meet each student's specific needs. However, we need your help!

Central play home games at Seashell Trust Academy, an award-winning charity-run school which gives the best care, support and education to children, young people and adults with learning difficulties.

The club is proud to play at Seashell Trust and has received a warm welcome by the organisation, with manager Chris Tomkinson saying:

“We have learnt a lot about the great work that the school undertakes helping to care for and educate individuals of all ages with profound learning difficulties. This includes their sensory and sporting aspects - which has led to a few students watching parts of our games! We’d love to give something back to the school and its students, hopefully we can spread a bit of Christmas cheer!”

Central will be hosting a Christmas event for the students prior to Central's final home game before the festive period, the fixture against Altrincham Hale on the 17th of December.

Here, a group of players and staff will gift presents which are individualised to the needs of the eighteen students who will be staying at the school over Christmas. We are also hoping to convince someone to put pride aside to dress up as Santa Claus for the occasion!

Everyone involved in the club is chipping in to help raise the money needed to give the students a special day - but we need a little help. This is where you come in....

The club has organised a fundraiser with a target of £360 - aiming to raise an additional £20 per student to help fund the purchase of the gifts.

We understand that money is tight given the Cost of Living Crisis, however, the club highly appreciates if you can afford to make a donation of any size. Please also help to share this fundraiser to give those at Seashell Trust a merry Christmas!

Should you be so generous as to surpass this fundraiser's target, Manchester Central will split any remaining funds between a donation to the Seashell Trust charity and to Manchester South Food Bank, looking to help others who may be struggling with the Cost of Living Crisis to enjoy their Christmas.
