With the visitors 2 points behind Central but with a game in hand, only a win for Central will guarantee them a spot in the promotion places.

If Avro come away with the three points, it secures themselves promotion, whilst a draw between the two teams will leave both teams sweating on Avro’s final result.

The reverse fixture saw Central run out narrow winners in a 7 goal thriller, picking up 3 points in a 4-3 win at the Vestacare Stadium.

Three wins on the bounce whilst scoring 23 goals sees Central head into the crunch tie in fine form. Not to be outdone, though, the visitors have scored 25 in the same time, with both teams overcoming Cavaliers by 16 goals to nil.

Central boss Chris Tomkinson is excited for the game and feels his side are as best prepared as they could be for such an important game.

“The lads have been fantastic in training these last few weeks, and it's been really showing on the pitch.

“To be in this position after just a year of being together is such a big achievement, and no matter what happens, I’m super proud of this group of young men.”

“They’ve been a credit to themselves all season, and they deserve nothing less than to get that final promotion spot.

“Avro will certainly be a tough challenge, but on our day, we can beat anybody.”
