Captain Dolling takes February Player of the Month honour

Manchester Central captain Daniel Dolling has secured the player of the month award for his consistent displays throughout February.

The defender has been one of Central's best performers throughout the season but has been a particular highlight in February, continuing to chip in with goals despite it being in a difficult patch of form for the club. Dolling captained his side in all four fixtures throughout February, where Central were winless.

Dolling did open the scoring in Central's most recent game in the Manchester Challenge Trophy final from the spot, meanwhile the skipper has been a rock at the back for Chris Tomkinson, whether it be from right back or centre back.

"Dan is fully deserving of the player of the month award. We have had some solid performances off some of the lads this month but Dan has done very well"

"He's been asked to play a couple of positions but done both superbly well, whilst inspiring the other lads around him."

"Dan has been very consistent all season and I'm sure he can take this good form into the coming months, whichever position he is asked to play."

The Central skipper will look to continue in this vein of form when Central meet league leaders Govan & Uni of Manchester on Saturday, as they look to get back to winning ways in Division One.
